About us
United Center of Initiatives for Belarus (JuBIC) is a nongovernmental organization founded in Lithuania that is engaged in a variety of activities concerning Belarus.
Its main objective is to stimulate Lithuania's participation in the process of building democracy and civic society in Belarus. JuBIC aspires to see Belarus as independent, democratic and prosperous member of the community of European nations.
Therefore organization seeks to diminish cleavages between Lithuanian and Belarusian societies that had occurred as a consequence of the political isolation of Belarus. It also strives to create social, cultural, economic and informal political bonds between two neighboring states, strengthen the cooperation of their nongovernmental sectors.

Who are we?
We are a non-governmental organization created in Lithuania by Lithuanian and Belarusian activists who care about Belarus and its future.
What do we believe?
- We believe that democracy and respect for human rights are fundamental conditions for development of strong, creative and prosperous civic society in Belarus.
- We are convinced that Lithuania, Poland, European Union and the United States should join forces and help Belarus to achieve that.
- We are certain it is very important that political isolation of Belarus would not mean social, cultural and economical isolation as well.
- We are sure that democracy cannot be build by building walls. So let's build bridges…
What do we do?
- We are working as a center that generates and promotes new ideas and initiatives for projects related with Belarus.
- We are providing information and consultations for those who plan to implement various social, cultural or civic activities in this country.
- We are seeking that Lithuanian citizens would pay more attention for the problem of Belarus.
- We are trying to become a bridge between Lithuanian and Belarusian societies connecting NGO activists, youth, politicians, and businessmen.
